Myrcene is known to induce relaxation and peace of mind with its deep and spicy aroma similar to hops and cloves and a hint of mango. Its top notes are meditatively earthen and musky, relieved by undernotes of tropical or citrus fruits.
This terpene is common yet sparsely concentrated across herbs like bay laurel, thyme, star anise, basil, celery leaf, dill, and more. Myrcene is often found in greater amounts in species of hop plants and conifers.
CAUTION: Terpenes are volatile compounds that WILL evaporate / degrade in atmospheric conditions. Please see Storage section for more information.
